The For Her Collection was created to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) and help fund vital ovarian cancer research.š
$10 AUD from every phone case purchased from the For Her Collection will be donated directly to the OCRF. These donations will be made monthly, with 100% of the advertised donation amount passed on to the Foundation.
In addition, from 11 August to 11 September 2026, $3 AUD from every phone case purchased across our entire website will also be donated to the OCRF. These campaign donations will be made in September 2026 following the conclusion of the fundraiser.
We believe in complete transparency, so receipts confirming every donation will be shared on our social media, allowing our community to see the impact we're making together.
The OCRF is Australia's leading independent funder of ovarian cancer research. Their mission is to accelerate research into earlier detection, better treatments and improved outcomes for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynaecological cancer in Australia. Around three Australian women lose their lives every day, and fewer than half of those diagnosed will survive five years.
One of the greatest challenges is that there is currently no method of testing or screening for ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, there are no signs or symptoms specific to ovarian cancer, and in some cases, it can have no symptoms at all until it has progressed to later stages. When symptoms do occur, they are often vague and easily mistaken for other conditions.
The most common symptoms include persistent bloating, abdominal or pelvic pain, feeling full quickly or difficulty eating, and changes in urinary habits, such as needing to urinate more often or more urgently.
As a result, more than 70% of people with ovarian cancer are diagnosed with advanced-stage disease, when treatment is more difficult, recurrence is common, and outcomes are significantly poorer.
While researchers are making promising progress in developing earlier detection tools, includingĀ blood-based biomarkers, exosome panels, improved imaging and better triage systems, these breakthroughs require consistent long-term investment and validation before they can become part of everyday healthcare. Through this work, the OCRF funds research focused on making earlier detection more accurate and accessible, while also investing in the vital biobanking infrastructure that underpins future discoveries.
Despite the devastating impact of ovarian cancer, research into the disease has remained critically underfunded, receiving less than 1% of Australian Government medical research funding over the past 15 years.
As a very small Australian business, we know that $3 from each phone case and $10 from every For Her Collection phone case won't solve this problem overnight, but it's what we're able to do right now. We truly believe that every dollar helps move research forward, and supporting the OCRF is one small way we can help make a difference.
